By using a cardboard tube dipped in paint, you can create a cute Christmas craft that is perfect for decor, making just for fun or adding to your Christmas cards.
Toilet Paper Roll Christmas Painting Craft
Here is how to make this fun project!
Supplies:
- Toilet paper roll or craft tube
- Small bowl
- Green craft paint
- White cardstock paper
- Brown construction paper
- Glue
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Shiny confetti dots
- White or yellow sparkly pom pom
Directions:
To get started, cut a small Christmas tree trunk out of the brown construction paper.
Using the craft glue, carefully glue the trunk onto the bottom of the white card stock paper.
Now it’s time to start your Christmas painting. Pour a small amount of the green craft paint into the bowl.
Dip the bottom of the toilet paper roll into the green paint.
Press the toilet paper roll down onto the white card stock paper, creating a tree shape.
You can paint your tree any way that you like, however younger crafters may find it easy to start on the bottom and work your way up.
Continue painting circles, overlapping them slightly as shown in the images here.
Continue painting circles until you have created a tree shape.
Add additional layers to your artwork by overlapping circles and painting more circles.
Keep painting circles until your Christmas tree looks full.
Using craft glue and confetti dots or sequins, and these as ornaments to decorate your tree. You can add as many or as few ornaments as you like.
If desired, glue a white or yellow pom pom to the top of the tree.
Allow the paint and glue to completely dry before displaying.
