Make fun winter memories with this silly sweet treat. Here is how to make a melted snowman snack.
Do you want to melt a snowman? These frozen creatures are great winter fun, but something special has captured our imaginations about what happens when they melt.
Maybe it’s where the personality and spirit go, or just a love of these frosty friends. I’m not sure but it’s a popular craft and treat that so many kids and adults love alike.
With winter in full swing and the holidays around the corner, I wanted to share a fun treat that’s perfect for cold weather or a holiday treat.
Melted Snowman Snack
This special melted treat can be made as one large snowman, or several smaller ones.
For our instructions here, we are sharing how to make a larger snack that can be shared, however if you have extra candies, you can definitely make multiple little snowmen so that no one has to share.
Supplies
- 11 oz White Chocolate Chips
- 2 Candy Canes
- 1 Reese’s Cup
- Round Chocolate Candies (M&M’s or something similar)
- Cooking Spray
- Candy Eyes
- Wax Paper
Instructions
To get started, pour the white chocolate chips into a saucepan and melt the chocolate chips over medium heat.
Roll out a piece of wax paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
Gently pouring 3 small circles, form a snowman shape with the melted chocolate.
Once the chocolate starts to form a little bit, but isn’t quite hard, it is time to decorate. Cut a Reese’s Cup in half. Place half of the cup on top of the snowman for a hat.
You will also want to place two candy eyes on face of the melted snowman.
Using the remaining half of the peanut butter cup, cut it into a smaller piece to create a nose. The size is up to you.
Then you will want to use some M&M’s or another chocolate for buttons. Feel free to add additional candies for fun decor. This is where kids can have fun and get creative.
As a final touch, unwrap 2 candy canes. Break off the hook part of the candy canes and place the sticks on the snowman to create arms. Once the chocolate is cool and completely firm, you can break it into pieces and enjoy.
Making this ahead of time? Store in an airtight container before serving.
