Ready to go where gnome man has gone before? We love these cute gnome Rice Krispie Treats! Here's how to make them!

This post has been sponsored by Sherlock Gnomes. A reader giveaway has been provided. All opinions and love of movies are completely and totally our own.

Ready to go where gnome man has gone before? Our favorite garden gnomes are back for another film and we couldn’t be happier!

The beloved garden gnomes from GNOMEO AND JULIET are back for a whole new adventure in London. When Gnomeo and Juliet first arrive in the city with their friends and family, their biggest concern is getting their new garden ready for spring. However, they soon discover that someone is kidnapping garden gnomes all over London. When Gnomeo and Juliet return home to find that everyone in their garden is missing – there’s only one gnome to call… SHERLOCK GNOMES. The famous detective and sworn protector of London’s garden gnomes arrive with his sidekick Watson to investigate the case. The mystery will lead our gnomes on a rollicking adventure where they will meet all new ornaments and explore an undiscovered side of the city. This action-packed sequel features the voices of returning cast, James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith, Stephen Merchant and Ozzy Osbourne, plus Johnny Depp as Sherlock Gnomes, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Watson and Mary J. Blige as Irene.

To celebrate Sherlock Gnomes coming to theaters, we have a fun recipe for you to make during spring break. Check out how to make these gnome rice krispie treat snacks below!

Ingredients

6 cups of Rice Krispies Cereal
2 Cups of Marshmallows
3 Tablespoons of softened butter or margarine
Fruit flavored Tootsie Rolls
Cotton Candy
Vanilla frosting (optional)
Square 8″ x 8” pan
Butter Flavored Non-stick cooking spray
Ice cream cone cookie cutter

Directions

To make your gnome rice krispie treats, grease a small square 8″x 8” pan with butter or a non-stick butter-flavored cooking spray. Next, in a large microwave-safe bowl, combine your marshmallows and butter (or margarine) and heat the mixture for 1-2 minutes. When the marshmallow mixture gets puffy, mix in your Rice Krispies cereal.

Scoop the mixture into your pan, pressing down firmly, and freeze for 15 minutes or allow to cool on the counter for at least 45 minutes.

While the Rice Krispie Treats are cooling, place 4 of the same colored Tootsie Rolls in the microwave for 3 seconds, unwrap and press together. Using a rolling pin, roll out the Tootsie Rolls and use the cone side of the cookie cutter to cut out a hat.

Repeat steps this until you have 8 hats. Use different colored candies to make different colored hats.

Pull apart 4 pink Tootsie Rolls and roll each half into smooth balls.

Once the Rice Krispie treats are cooled, use your cookie cutter to cut out as many ice cream cones as you can from the treats.

Place the Tootsie Roll hats onto the Rice Krispies and a ball underneath for a nose. Pull apart your cotton candy into small pieces and press it below the nose for a beard. It sticks perfectly, but if you’re planning on storing the gnome Rice Krispie treats overnight you might want to spread out a little vanilla frosting first to help them stick.
