Welcome to 2 Kids and a Coupon! With all of the new folks stopping by, I thought it was finally time to tell you all a little bit about us.
We’re just a normal, Midwest working family working to make the most of our budget and our lifestyle in today’s tough economy. A few years back, we had a tough year with lots of medical bills, a job layoff and more. That was when I first did a Google search for “coupons” in attempt to find ideas to help stretch our budget and our lives changed dramatically. I always thought because I have a “good” job, that I didn’t need to use coupons because I wasn’t in dire straights. Little did I know that coupons are not only used by those in many different income brackets, but that there is enormous savings potential if you just become an informed shopper.
The $20-$30 a week I was hoping to save quickly turned in hundreds of dollars a month and more. Our family not only learned to survive on less – but to thrive on it.. Even while watching our spending, we were still able to buy everything we needed, and still had room in our budget for growing our savings, starting college funds for the kids, and even for extras like vacations. By using coupons and being smart about our shopping has helped our family be in better financial situation than ever before.
Our good fortune, and our savings efforts have enabled us to be able to generously share with others. We love taking large care packages of our deals to family and friends, and we have also been able to make regular donations to our children’s school, the local food pantry and more. We’ve had SO many people ask us for advice and information, we have even started this blog to share local deals with our own community. It’s great hearing from readers who are now saving money and able to better make ends meet because of information we shared.
While we do our best to provide only accurate and legitimate opportunities and deals, please keep in mind that it is impossible for us to personally try out every deal ourselves. If a deal is gone, or something happens, please don’t take it personally or get upset. We thought it was a good opportunity too and are just as disappointed as you are.
Some of the coupons and links here on this site may contain affiliate links from which we may or may not earn a small commission. These links help cover our costs to keep this site running for everyone including web hosting, design, fees and other expenses. However if you’re uncomfortable with that, feel free to find these opportunities elsewhere. Our site does also accept paid articles and advertising and we do our best to always disclose wherever possible, and always share our honest opinions regardless of sponsorship.
I’m still getting this site going, but if there are questions you have, or things you’d like to see — please let us know — we’re happy to help! Thanks for stopping by!
