Two Kids and a Coupon is receiving a trip to Los Angeles for purposes of covering this event. No compensation was received and all opinions and love of movies is completely and totally our own.

All right movie fans, get ready for a treat!  The summer movie season is getting ready to light up the big screen and we’ve  just been given access to provide you with exclusive behind the scenes scoop on two of this summer’s hottest family friendly films!

Last week we were honored with a special invitation to Los Angeles to join 24 other great bloggers for advance screenings of Disney’s Maleficent and Planes: Fire and Rescue.  In addition to checking out the films early and having reviews for you’ll, I’ll also have lots of inside scoop on how the films were made, cast and crew interviews and more!

If you’ve been reading Two Kids and a Coupon for awhile now, you know that we’re HUGE movie fans and that Mr. Two Kids and a Coupon and I even got married at a drive-in movie theater. We’ve passed our love of movies on to our children and I’m excited to be able to bring you lots inside scoop and details on both these summer films.

Watch for more information on my upcoming trip and both these films coming soon!  For regular updates from me and the other bloggers attending this event, be sure to follow #MaleficentEvent on Twitter and Facebook.

  1. Mary Happymommy says:

I wonder if Maleficent will be too scary for young children. My daughter (age 4 1/2) has been asking about seeing it.

  2. While every parent has to judge what’s best for their kids, Maleficent is rated PG and is along the same lines as Oz the Great and Powerful and Alice in Wonderland. If your child did fine with those, they should do great with this one as well. Some of my friends who have seen early previews have said their kids have loved it and weren’t scared at all.

I’m planning on taking my 4 year old and 9 year old once it hits theaters, and I’ll also publish my review after I get my sneak peek next week so you know what to expect before taking your family (although no spoilers I promise! ) :)
