Gooey Crescent Roll Cinnamon Roll Recipe

Cinnamon Rolls

Looking for an easy breakfast treat to make with ingredients you probably already have on hand? These gooey cinnamon rolls are super easy to make (even with little ones helping!) and are very tasty to eat. Here’s how to make them!

  • 1 to 2 rolls of tube crescent rolls (depending on how many you want to make)
  • Margarine or Butter
  • Cinnamon
  • Brown Sugar
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Milk

Pre-heat oven to 350. Roll out  crescent rolls flat  in a large glass baking dish pressing seams together. Butter generously.

Sprinkle dough liberally with cinnamon and brown sugar.

Next roll up the the dough and slice into sections.

Spread out the sections throughout the pan giving them room to raise in the pan.

Bake at 350 about 15 to 20 minutes or until rolls get golden brown.

In a separate bowl, mix 1 1/3 cup powdered sugar, 1/3 cup milk and two table spoons butter or margarine  and mix well to make frosting. If frosting is too thin or too thick for your liking. Add more milk or more powdered sugar until you get the desired consistency. Drizzle over over cinnamon rolls.

Greetings from cold Minnesota! I’m a new follower, but I got here just in time to catch this post. There’s nothing better than hot cinnamon rolls coming out of the oven on a chilly morning! Your recipe is so easy peasy I could make ’em while still half asleep. Sometimes I like to add raisins or pecans to my homemade breakfast rolls, but I know that even without those extras these cinnamon rolls will be awesome. Thanks for the recipe! Love your blog so far, anything to save money and have a great life frugally is always a hit in my book.

You can buy the crescent rolls in a single sheet, the dough is not cut up into triangles. Makes a great recipe even easier.

  12. I haven’t seen the flat roll crescents here yet (we live in a small town w/ limited shopping), but I’ll definitely keep an eye out for them when I’m shopping at bigger stores!
