#JJillTrueBlue – #Win Jeans for You and a Friend From J. Jill – Ends 2/26 – #Sponsored

This post wast brought to you by J. Jill. All opinions and love of cute affordable fashion is completely and totally my own.

Have you ever had a friend that even if you haven’t talked to her in ages, absolutely nothing has changed and you are completely and totally able to pick up right where you left off, no matter how long ago it was?

Recently I’ve reconnected with an old friend “S” who I’ve missed a lot more than I realized. We have not seen each other in years, and due to changes in careers, our lives and geography, we fell out of touch for a few years, but recently reconnected. However, thanks to social media we’ve been able to get back in touch more on a regular basis and it’s amazing how with some friends, it doesn’t matter if it’s been minutes or years, nothing has changed and I’m glad I’m getting a chance to get to know her again.

Unfortunately it’s been almost a decade since I’ve seen my good friend in person since she lives several states away, and I’m not even sure I have a photo of the two of us together to show you, even if everything I own is currently in boxes due our move anyway.

They will select one person each day to receive a gift card for a pair of jeans for themselves and a friend and a grand prize winner will receive a two $250 gift cards – one for themselves and a friend.

Also — Did you know that between now and 2/12 all J. Jill stores are offering a hot deal with 20% off denim styles? Here are some of the cool styles you’ll want to check out!

•    J.Jill’s denim is inspired by artisan patterns in the color blue — toile prints, indigo tiles, pen and ink sketches–and was  designed into indigo and softer shades of blue (e.g., Atlantic and Periwinkle) for a fresh perspective for you. You’ll also find a variation of mixed motifs, deep denim washes and lighthearted intarsias throughout the new denim collection.

•    Authentic Fit Slim Boot-Cut Jeans — These create a lean silhouette. These jeans have a slimmer, slightly flared leg opening creating a flattering, balanced fit for both shoes and boots, and the higher rise is perfect to tuck in shirts and maintain a smooth silhouette –.Jill recommends a brightly colored button up with cami underneath. If you’d prefer a longer top to create a long, lean line – try an A-line shape cardigan that mirrors the flare of the jeans.

•    Slim Boyfriend – This type of denim is like your favorite boyfriend jean but now more straight and streamlined for a more feminine fit. Straight fit through hips and thighs for a silhouette that flatters every body. J.Jill’s tip – play with both proportions and volume with the slim boyfriend, both slim and fuller-volume tops work well. A streamlined top has a slimming effect (especially in black!) over the straight shape of the slim boyfriend jeans, whereas fuller tops create a visual balance with the straight bottom.

•    Tried & True Slim Ankle – These were inspired by the classic and timeless ankle silhouette, and conform beautifully to a woman’s shape with the ankle-length seam falling in just the right place. Pair with a longer length top with either a little or a lot of volume — either works! Try tunic for a slim, lengthening effect, or a more voluminous sweater over a stretch cotton tee for a flattering layered take.

•    Tried & True Slim Leg – These jeans are super flattering thanks to J.Jill’s cotton-stretch fabric for a great fit, recovery and comfort. The dark color elevates the look, and the slim leg looks great with heels, flats or tucked into boots. These jeans are a perfect complement to tops with an A-line shape or hem interest. Pairing them with an anorak would make for a classic look with balanced proportions, or try a high-low hem to create interest on top while slimming and elongating the bottom.

Hopefully it won’t be another decade or so until I see my friend in person, but until then I know that we’ll be able to be just in touch great via phone and online. She’s been having a tough time the last couple weeks, and as a special surprise, she’s going to receive a pair of jeans from J. Jill to help cheer her up very soon.

What makes your relationship with one of your friends special?  Leave me a comment below and tell me and one winner will be picked at random to win a pair of jeans for them and a friend from J. Jill!

  1. Kortney Picker says:

My relationship with my friend is so special because we can pick up anytime and our friendship is always just as close no matter how busy life is. We are both at similar times in life (stay at home mom’s), but we have been friends since college. I can always count on her to be there for me and I know if I ever needed anything I can ask. Also I am so comfortable with her so I never have to clean my house or present myself in a certain way! I would love to surprise her with a new pair of jeans, she had a baby about 6 months ago, so a new wardrobe is needed!

  2. My friend and I met when I moved to another state right after college. I got a job at a store and she was in the same dept. We worked it so that we worked the same hours and then when we were not working we were off exploring little shops and towns. I eventually moved back to my home town but our friendship stuck. She came out to visit where I am and then a year later I was a bridesmaid in her wedding. It would be ten yrs later when she and her husband came to my wedding in my hometown. Our lives have gotten busy –she has had children and she is a wonderful stay at home mother. I had some health issues of my own and then I tend to family members who have had health issues too. We have not been able to visit in person since my wedding but we do call and when we are on the phone it is like no time has passed since we were both on the floor selling merchandise over 20 yrs ago.

  3. Amanda Sakovitz says:

My relationship with my friend Jen is special because its stood the test of time. Even when we dont talk for awhile we can always pick up right where we leave off and laugh our butts off together.

  5. My longest-term friend and I don’t live in the same state, but we’ve been able to keep up our friendship through blogging and Facebook. I think our relationship is special in that it doesn’t take a lot to keep us going – whether it’s a Christmas card, birthday text, or just a how-are-you Facebook message, we can always pick up where we left off.

  6. We have lots to talk about. We also have much in common

  7. My friendships are special with two women because they never judge me, are always there to listen and offer an opinion if wanted.

  8. It does not matter how long it has been since I have seen my best friend. We always just pick up where we left off, just like brothers. We have been friends since I was 5 years old.

  9. I have a friend that I only see once every few years. We talk and text often, but the face-to-face visits don’t happen often enough. You would never know it though. Good friends are always able to pick up where they left off…even if a lot of time has passed.

  10. I have known one of my good friends since we went to college together and our friendship is special because we have been through a lot (marriage, birth of our kids, death of family members) and still stay close.

  11. Time & distance change, but doesn’t end our friendship. She makes the tough times easier and the happy times even happier!

  16. Nancy and I lived in the same city for less than a year, but both needed a friend and found one in each other. We both moved several times since that year (2003) but keep in contact although our busy lives get in the way. Her husband and son are both active US Navy, so she holds down the home front! She would love to have jeans that fit- she is short, and so would I- I am tall. Thaks

  17. JAMES LYNAM says:

Never have to say I’M SORRY.

  18. My friend and I have been close since second grade. Through college, marriage, kids, moving to different states, it doesn’t matter. The minute we are together it’s like no time has passed. She makes me feel safe and secure, and I love her like a sister.

  19. My relationship with my friend is so special because even though we’re thousands of miles apart we still find ways to keep our friendship going strong. We don’t have a lot of time to talk, but we still find ways to connect through e-mail and other methods. She truly is my very best friend and no matter what we’ve been through in our own lives we’ll always be there for each other.

She brought me into this world and too this day she remains my best friend.

  23. I’ve known my best friend since we were in kindergarten. We were pregnant at the same time-twice. Our husbands are in the same industry and although we don’t live near each other, I feel as if we do! We talk all the time and make time to catch up, even if we drive all night just to have coffee with each other. She always has my back, whether I am right or wrong, is always there to let me vent and just a look tells me exactly what the other is thinking!

  24. Brittney House says:

My two friends and I have been friends since 1st grade so we know all about how each other ticks and we are basically like one person.

  25. My friend, Steph, is the best friend I could ask for. We have been friends for more than 15 years. We were college roommates and I have shared more with her than any other friend. We can go a month or two without talking and we pick up where we left off. She lives 7 hours away but I get to see her a couple of times a year since she lives close to my family. She got married first and had children first so she has always been able to give me advice.
