Two Kids and a Coupon received the D-Link Wireless Range Extender for purposes of this review. All opinions and obsessions with my wireless signal are completely and totally my own.
When you’re a blogger, one thing can make you crazier than anything thing else — lack of internet access. When your livelihood depends on internet access, not having a reliable wi-fi signal can bring make you can make you crazy or even bring you to tears as you try to complete work by deadline.
While wireless internet works great, it doesn’t work great and everywhere has dead zones where your devices can’t get a strong signal. We have several areas in our home and at my mom’s (where we stay frequently) where we struggle to stay online. While I’m trying to work, I get kicked offline regularly and I’ve been frustrated with the wireless signal.
Fortunately I’ve had the opportunity to check out a product from D-Link that’s help make my frustrations with my wireless signal go away. Recently I’ve had the opportunity to review the D-Link Wireless Range Extender (DAP-1320) which is a sleek, refreshingly simple Wi-Fi booster designed to bring fast and reliable Wi-Fi coverage to your home’s wireless dead zones with the push of a button.
Set-up is simple and you don’t have to be a computer expert or replace your existing router, all it takes is a power outlet. Simply plug the D-Link Wireless Range Extender into an outlet between your router and the dead zone in your home and press the WPS button which is the only button on the extender and then push the WPS button on your router. .
I’ve been using the the Wireless Range Extender for a couple months now and it’s really made a difference in our home. Our bedroom is at the furthest point in our home from our router, and I often lose signal while trying to work there. However the Extender has made a huge difference and I no longer crash while trying to work from my room after the kids are in bed. This product is a definite must for anyone that spends lots of time online or who has issues with their wi-fi signal.
