#HolidayGiftGuide Book Review – PAJANIMALS Kids Books

Two Kids and a Coupon received copies of these for purposes of this review. All opinions and all PAJANIMALS bedtime fun are completely and totally our own.

Like many families, bedtime stories are part of our regular routine here at Two Kids and a Coupon and we always love having new stories to read together. My little many in particular loves it when he can read books that have characters from some of his favorite shows, and he was thrilled recently when we received a couple fun new PAJANIMALS books to review.

If you’re not familiar with the PAJANIMALS, here’s a little bit about them.

The PAJANIMALS’ products are perfect for toddlers (and their parents) and are based on The Jim Henson Company and Sprout’s, the 24 hour preschool television channel, critically-acclaimed preschool series, PAJANIMALS, which is designed to help parents and caregivers with a bedtime routine for their young children.

The PAJANIMALS series, now in its second season on Sprout (the 24-hour preschool television channel) and weekends on NBC Kids, follows the amazing adventures of four sweet and gentle characters—Sweetpea Sue the pony, the excitable duck Squacky, the creative cow CowBella and the optimistic puppy Apollo.  Through their imaginary journeys, these cuddly musical puppets venture out on amazing adventures of discovery, modeling the skills preschoolers need to move through their days successfully, especially getting ready for and going to bed.

My preschooler has recently discovered the PAJANIMALS  and it’s a fun way to wrap up the day and relax before bed. Their adventures are fun, but not overstimulating, and a great way to help kids relax and unwind after a busy day. We were recently sent two fun PAJANIMALS  books to review.
The Pajanimals are excited that Christmas is coming! Squacky really hopes he  gets the new Fantastic Splash Super Sub, but then becomes worried that Santa  won’t bring it. The Pajanimals travel to The Night Sky where the moon reminds  Squacky that Christmas isn’t about the presents you get, it’s about spending  time with the ones you love and sharing Christmas traditions together.

Sweet Pea Sue Makes a New Friend from Running Press (SRP: $7.95)
Sweet Pea Sue can’t sleep because she’s scared of a picture of an octopus she  saw in a book. When the Pajanimals go to the Big, Blue Sea, they meet Ellie, a  real octopus. To Sweet Pea Sue’s surprise, Ellie is scared of the Pajanimals. The two realize that there’s nothing to be afraid of because they just want to be friends.
Both of these PAJANIMALS  adventures are fun and friendly bedtime stories with great messages and include reusable stickers. Squacky and the Gift of Christmas is particularly timely and we read it again tonight and talked about it’s message which emphasizes how Christmas is not about the presents but about all the fun we get to have. Both of these books would make great gifts for little ones on your list this holiday season.
