Creating With Kids – How to Make a Spooky Snake Wreath For Halloween

Spooky Snake Wreath on Two Kids and a Coupon

Looking for a fun, easy and creepy way to start decorating for Halloween with the kids?  This spooky snake Halloween wreath can be done in just a couple easy steps and is a great project for easy artists to assist. Better yet, you can purchase the supplies for less than $10!  Here’s how to make it.

Supplies:

  • Bramble Wreath
  • Package or two of plastic snakes or other crepy crawlies from the dollar store (this would also work great w/ plastic bugs!)
  • Black spray paint
  • Protective cloth
  • Hot glue gun & glue (if desired)

How To:

Take your plastic snakes or other toy creepy crawlies and carefully tuck them into the wreath at various positions, spacing them out carefully. You can tuck them in by hand, or if you want them extra secure, you can also hot glue them (just have a grown up or older child do this part!)

Next place the wreath on a protective cloth outdoors or in a well ventilated area. Using black spray paint, paint the wreath black.

Once the paint is dry, hang using a ribbon or wreath holder and let the kids admire their work!
