How can you shake up your dinner routine, and still keep it healthy too? As our family has been trying to eat healthier and as my husband and I have been working hard on losing weight, I’ve been reading labels and looking for new options to add to our mealtime menus. Recently we were asked by the folks at Gorton’s to check out their line of 20 product under 200 calories.
We have the pleasure of working with Gorton’s Seafood regularly and they’ve become a regular required item to have on hand, especially on the days when we need a quick and easy, but healthy supper. While I’m a vegetarian (and don’t eat seafood) my family loves it, it’s great to know that Gorton’s has lots of easy to prepare combinations.
Recently Gortons asked us to use one of their 200 calorie products to put together a tasty, but low calorie meal for our family. On one evening I just needed to make dinner for my husband and little man, I used a box of the Gorton’s Grilled Fillets to make Fish Tacos for my guys. With some lettuce, whole wheat tortillas, cheese, and picante sauce I had dinner ready in minutes which is important when my guys are STARVING and they both loved the meal. They loved how tasty it was, and I loved that it was an easy to prepare, but also a healthy and low calorie option.
